Let's jump right in and throw Fox News off into the bat-shit-crazy-full-of-lies pile. Next let's cut 75% of CNN and 65% of MSNBC and chuck them into that same pile.
What's left is not much, especially if you are looking for objective, truthful news on what is happening in America, politics, our economy, and in the wars.
If you watch Fox News long enough, like an hour's worth, you realize they pretty much copy the same stories as the other news stations, but cover those stories from an extremely conservative and often times misleading point of view. If you watch an hour of CNN you realize how boring paint drying on the walls can really be; and if you watch an hour of MSNBC you realize you may get a sliver of honest news (Dylan Ratigan), but you are most likely hearing the same stories on Fox and CNN but from a liberal point of view.
Why is this a surprise? Nothing in America is fair nor balance, so why would the corporate news media be? America is Machiavellianism personified, egos rein supreme, and cash used to manipulate the masses is the ultimate pinnacle. Corporate news stations like CNN, Fox News, and MSNBC have a vested interest in the continuation of this Machiavellianism state. Corporate news media is interested in creating an echo-chamber, proficient in spreading their message, not the news.
During the Wall Street protests, not only was the corporate media intentionally not covering the stories, they actually tried to frame them as a "waste of time", and try to blow if all off by saying the protestors don't even know what they are protesting about. If you did not have an alternative news source, you missed the numerous violations police departments all across America perp

etrated upon peacefully protesting Americans of all ages and all walks of life. You missed the beginning of a populous movement created and ran by ordinary people just like you, and you missed the opportunity to support and be a part of something to benefit the 99% of us.
Humans are complex and often contradictory creatures, but we are also extremely malleable, easily lured into believing and acting on something not in our best interest. This is why none of the news stations are fair or balanced; they have a vested interest to manipulate your views to match theirs. Finding a way to obtain knowledge and news without being manipulated by the corporate media is crucial in having a well-informed vote, and part of the reason why the majority of us vote for politicians not in our best interest.
I use several media outlets to compose a complete view of the issues important to me. So if you are looking for fair and balanced news try, DemocracyNow.com, TheNation.com, Fightbacknews.org, Indymedia.org or, of course, ANDmagazine.com – because if you are looking for serious objective news from the corporate media stations like MSNBC, Fox News, or CNN you will never find it.
