Lindsey Anderson grew up in Granville, Ohio. She attended Colby College, in Waterville, Maine, and she graduated with a degree in Art History in 2010. Now she lives in Chicago, Illinois, where she currently works as a freelance writer, editor, artist, actor and burlesque dancer.
Lindsey decided to pursue a career in journalism after reading Noam Chomsky's Manufacturing Consent during her last year of high school, and she's since developed an interest in the labor movement and issues of social justice. She's also interested in feminist politics, and she often volunteers for Unite Here!, a non-profit dedicated to improving the living conditions of low income female workers.
Her writing has appeared in both print and online publications. You can find many of her articles on the Chicago Arts Archive.
