Jannifer Heiner was raised in Salt Lake City, Utah for the first twenty-four years of her life. She married in the Mormon Church at nineteen and left the Mormon Church at twenty-seven. She now analyzes and writes about her life inside and outside of Mormonism.
Jannifer holds degrees from UCLA in both English Literature and Women’s Studies. She worked as an English teacher for three years in South Central, Los Angeles, and she earned her advanced degree in Urban Education from Loyola Marymount University.
