Koun is a freelance writer with a focus in fashion, culture, and the arts, based in the magical, concrete wonderland that is New York City.
When she was younger, she was never more excited then when she followed her mom to their suburban Jo-Ann Fabrics. She would want to spend all day among the tissue thin chiffon and slippery silks, the buttons so brightly colored they looked like candy. Fast-forward seventeen years, and much to her parent's chagrin, she is now chasing the elusive, glittery world of fashion.
But if her mother instilled in me the love for beautiful objects, her father showed me the beauty of words. He encouraged me to write, happily subscribing to my weekly (sometimes monthly) family newsletter, in which she published inedible cookie recipes and stories about snow fairies that never had an ending.
Not much has changed.
