I used to be a big fish in a small pond, but decided that wasn't enough of a challenge for me as I set off to Penn State University for college. It was in this setting that challenges and education became a passion for me as I made my way from a major in microbiology, to marketing, to English (my adviser in science once quipped that I might be content being a science fiction writer - to which I said, touche). From Penn State I went to school to be an English teacher and ended up teaching in lots of different places, the most recent being North Philly in a transition school, which is euphemistically expressing that I teach the equivalent of India's "untouchables," if America had a caste system. As if that isn't awesome enough, I spend my summers working as the customer service manager at Sesame Place, a one of a kind theme park in the Northeastern portion of the United States that pays homage to Elmo, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster - yes, he is still the Cookie Monster. When I have free time, I like to kick back and relax with any good books on the market, the staple magazines that every woman reads, or captivating reality TV.
