Carol Schlanger is a working actress, spoken word performer and writer.

She's worked for Imagine Entertainment as a sit-com staff writer for My Talk Show and is a humanitas nominee and wrote the pilots: Back To The Garden and Hello Pilgrim for CBS.

As a screenwriter her credits include "Women In Luck" co written with Carl Gottleib of Jaws Fame. She recieved an obie nomination for writing and performing The American Housewife, at the Joe Papp Theatre (Public Theatre NYC) and received 3 Drama-Logue critics awards (performing and writing) for her one woman play " Mouth to Mouth produced by Ted Danson. She has appeared in national commercials and in T.V. in numberous guest and co-star roles She'sll hoping in the near future to become a series regular so she doesn't have to work so hard.

Her supporting acting film work includes: The China Sydrome, The Frisco Kid, Ed and His Dead Mother & You Don't Mess With the Zohan. Her plays which include, Baba Yaga, Will You Still Feed Me? Last Dance, Valley of the Shadow of Beth and Abby Hoffman's Last Job Interview have been successfully produced both New York and Los Angeles. She's hosted and produced "In Stages" for internetradiovoices.com and was the 2008 winner of the monologue slam for the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights.

She currently performs her own works in various venus throughout Los Angeles for Word Theatre, Jersey Girl Productions, I Love A Good Story, and others. An old hippie, Carol just completed her creative non-fiction novel Far Out and looks forward to its insane success and outrageous popularity. She spends half the year in Los Angeles and half in Oregon, where she and her husband, Clinton Helvey, maintain an organic farm and old growth timber preserve.

She's a member of SAG, WGA, EQUITY, AFTRA, ALAP and the ICWP. A native New Yorker, she wishes she could get back there more often and stay at the Yale Club, where she belongs.
